As we all know, our neighbors recently plunged into a razor sharp blender of natural disasters. They were hit by an earthquake that exceeded the maximum range of the Japanese Richter scale. That sucks, sucks bad. Going on, this earthquake caused a 30ft tsunami to crash into the eastern coast of the country, completely wiping out towns, villages, and thousands of people. That alone is more misery for the average human to comprehend, but it gets worse. The tsunami and quake caused a nuclear meltdown in several outdated reactors in Japan. The situation plummeted downhill and the radiation is now poisoning crops, and people as we speak. And the country continues to be hit by aftershocks big enough to hit headlines in and of themselves, were they not following said disasters.
Pretty much Japan has a good 20 years to spend recovering. Its amazing, that one hour kids were playing, husbands and wives were flirting, fishermen singing, people going about their daily lives. Then 2 hours later the heart of the nation is shattered into pieces. Its easy for me to brush it away, even living as close as i do to the country (Philippines). But to be honest, if even one person close to me, in particular my best friend @Juliette was killed, or otherwise went missing. I would instantly be dumbstruck, i wouldn’t have the ability to cry or anything. I would probably just become a vegetable. But to think that thousands of these people lost several family members is mind boggling to me. Incomprehensible.
Needlesstosay, we can pray for the country of Japan. More specifically, the people of japan. The familys.
